The Concord-Merrimack County SPCA is a special admission shelter and we accept all adoptable animals from throughout Merrimack County. Our name reflects our geographic service area, not a governmental body. We are a nonprofit agency dependent on private donations and are not supported by tax dollars. As a special admission shelter we accept adoptable animals in need, but we do utilize an appointment policy to ensure there is space for all incoming animals.

Donations

The Concord-Merrimack County SPCA is dependent on the contributions of the public to function. Financial contributions allow us to meet overhead, provide veterinary services to our animals, spay/neuter all adult animals prior to their leaving the shelter, provide behavior assessment and training for incoming animals, and create programs that expand our presence in the community and work toward ending pet overpopulation and neglect and abuse of animals.

We are now accepting donations online. Please see the following form:

Amount of donation:
To set your own donation amount, simply delete the default $20.00 value and type the desired amount.

If you are interested in learning more about a lasting long-term gift made possible through planned giving, please contact our Director of Development at 753-9801.

In addition to a monetary gift, we are always in need of basic supplies that help ease our supply budget. Please take a look at our Wish List.

We almost always face "special needs" to help us increase efficiency or to meet a crisis. Currently, we are in need of three new computers that will allow us to utilize a pet-management program being donated through a national foundation to assist non-profit humane organizations. Computers must have a minimum 500 MHZ processor with 126 RAM and utilize Microsoft-based software.
