The Concord-Merrimack County SPCA is a special admission shelter and we accept all adoptable animals from throughout Merrimack County. Our name reflects our geographic service area, not a governmental body. We are a nonprofit agency dependent on private donations and are not supported by tax dollars. As a special admission shelter we accept adoptable animals in need, but we do utilize an appointment policy to ensure there is space for all incoming animals.

Become a Member

help_become_a_member_dog.jpgBecoming a member of the Concord-Merrimack County SPCA says "I care about the animals." Members have taken that extra step to ensure shelter animals are receiving the best of care. Vaccinations, heartworm tests, FeLeuk tests-all of these things cost money and adoption fees do not cover the expense of caring for our animals. The extra step taken by members with their annual dues is one way we can be assured the funds are there to meet these needs. In appreciation of this steadfast support, we offer members a 10% discount on adoptions and purchases at the shelter. Members are encouraged to become active participants in the organization by accepting committee assignments. Staff and board members will host a Membership Meeting this coming spring to allow members to learn more about us and to allow us to share more of our plans for the future.
